Mother-In-Need

Mother-In-Need started this conversation

Please help me. I am a single white female aged 46 and a mother of 2 girls, one in University on a scholarship thats about to expire. I have severe disabilitys that prevent me from working and dont really have any job skills. I have nothing to sell as my ex-husband took everything. 5 years ago he joined a biker gang and traded me in for a new girlfriend young enough to be his daughter. I suffer from fibromyalgia, osteporosis and am assamed to say I also suffer from susidal depression. Thank god for the government for paying for my medication or I would have to be hospitalized and would loose my younger daughter. I have nothing -absolutly nothing. I cant buy proper food and have to rely on a food bank for food. They provide me with some food but it breaks my heart to see my daughter with me eating real bad and often expired food. We never get meat, milk or even fresh bread. They give us a lot of beans, pasta and dry bread. My heart is breaking into a thousand pieces and I dont know what else to do except ask you for money to help me buy food for my children. My daughter away at university has a friend that sneaks her food from the cafeteria when she works there but there are days when my daughter away doesn't eat. I don't understand how I got in this position and don't know a way out. I feel like a total failure to my children and my family. Please Please Help Me, its not for me but for my children. If you live in the Toronto area I might be able to do light jobs for you in return. In advance if anyone can please help me . Thank you and may God bless every one of you.

The first thing that you should do is to see what benefits are available for people that have the same disability as you. There are also programs that help with financial emergencies but you have to demonstrate need. You have more skills than you know! You're able to post here and navigate around the internet - a lot of people still don't know how to do that. There are websites where people can post and ask for donations. One man got over $30,000 in donations. The government got wind of this and wanted to take his government checks away but they couldn't because legally they were donations and not income so he really didn't even have to declare it. There are just so many programs out there that provide assistance - including financial assistance that you should really look into them. You can start with a local service agency because they know about programs like this because they have helped many people that are in the same situation as you.
